I recently travelled to Italy, and I didn’t know how many options I would have being gluten free and vegan, but actually there was always an option for me, even in the smallest towns. In some of the smaller towns, the options were more limited. However, there was always gluten-free pasta and vegetables. If you are not gluten-free, you should not have a problem at all being vegan. I did always make sure I had a kitchen where I could cook every location I went which helped out in some places that had less options. In the bigger cities, there were too many options.
